My love affair with yoga started shortly after graduating from collage in 2006. I used to be a competitive figure skater, but left depleted after years of anxiety that came with competing.
I started practicing at a studio around the corner from where I lived, and I quickly noticed how my body, mind and heart were changing the more I practiced. It was amazing to me how I could walk in the studio one way, and feel completely different when I left. I could watch my prana (life force) shift, and was more grounded, clear and vibrant after practicing. I discovered how my yoga practice was for me, but effected the way I interacted with others in a positive way.
I took my 200 hour YTT with Deanna Black in 2008 and started teaching in 2009. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a choreographer when I grew up, so each class I teach is like an expressive dance I made up in my living room. I love the creative expression of yoga and the freedom you find when you move your body with your breath. Yoga helps me flow with change and stay curious about the mystery of the unknown. I am truly blessed to be a part of the Inner Bliss community, and feel like each person I meet is a teacher to me in some way. Namaste.
